Confederation Centre of the Arts
Strategic Plan
In association with Genovese, Vanderhoof Associates of Toronto, and Corkum & Crozier Chartered Accountants, Baker Consulting completed a strategic planning assignment for Confederation Centre. The scope of this project included public, government and industry consultation on PEI and across Canada, and an environmental scan of best practices across North America. Strategic planning addressed the Centre’s values and mandate for the future, results-based management and accountability, and funding sources that will provide for the sustainable delivery of renewed mandate and programming.

Holland College
Ten-Year Strategic Plan
Developed a 10-year strategic direction for Holland College that addressed regional positioning in post-secondary education, excellence in educational learning across a wide variety of client needs and interests, infrastructure refreshing, and renewal and financial sustainability through a diverse stream of student, private sector, public sector and philanthropic revenue streams.

Confederation Trail, PEI – Phase II Development
Acting as lead consultant in association with Daniel K. Glenn Ltd. landscape architects, we produced a plan to guide next stage development for Confederation Trail, PEI’s premiere soft adventure product.  Best practices worldwide were catalogued.  A detailed infrastructure review was undertaken and key stakeholders consulted.  As a result, grass roots implementation strategies were recommended across seven "domains" from community support and aesthetics to branding and marketing .  Phasing and budget guidelines were also provided to the Product Development Committee of PEI's Tourism Advisory Council.

Island Recreational Marinas – Market Development Plan
Welcoming Waters
We were hired to update a 1998 Baker Consulting study on PEI Marine Tourism and take it to the next level in terms of assessing product readiness seven years later.  18 Island ports were re-visited to identify gaps between visitor expectations and current offerings.  Detailed product development recommendations resulted from this, along with marketing strategy, including the branding approach captioned above.
